Hooray!
This week’s theme: chairs.
When you eat dinner with your family, do you have unspoken, assigned seating? And are the seating arrangements different depending on if the meal is eaten in the kitchen or dining room? Does the seating vary from one holiday to the next? Or even one holiday meal to the next in the same day? And does one of your sisters get very huffy if someone forgets where they are supposed to be sitting in the unspoken, assigned seating because it’s a long time between holidays and if it changes with each holiday anyway how the shit are you supposed to remember?
No?
Just my family?
Oh.
Well alright then.
ha!!!
First off- the photo is beautiful. Very evocative of the calm in early evening before the meal.
but the story!! TOTALLY cracked me up.
What a great CHAIR shot! I totally love the perspective.
I am wondering.. is your sis a tad bit OCD? I ask because man, I act like that some times and I am OCD. LOL You story was great!
hahahaha probably! But then again, no more OCD than I am. I just happen to get fixated and antsy on other things. Heh.
Oh yes ma’am, we have assigned seating. And please do not take the chair to my dad’s left, that one is mine.
I promise I will not. But now that I think about it, please do not take the chair to MY dad’s right at Christmas dinner. That is my spot, and I shall shank anyone who tries to say otherwise.
I recognize that dining room! Where’s the mulberry tablecloth?
Love the perspective of the photo and the scroll work on the chairs is beautiful. But, I agree with Calli. The story is the best.
