Well, it’s happened.
The holidays are over, and 2013 is here. While the holidays were fun—hectic, but fun, and my pants don’t so much fit anymore—2012 overall was a bit of a rough ride. There were a lot of ups and downs, highs and lows, odds and ends, and any other opposites that go side-by-side you want to add in here. As Everyone Needs a Julie put it, 2012 was spent doing a lot of reacting, rather than being proactive. And sometimes that happens. Sometimes that’s needed, and sometimes that’s maddening. It’s a toss up.
But I do love the dawn of a new year, the feeling of hope and let’s face it—it’s a prime time for making fresh lists of things I want to accomplish in the coming year. (LO! How McPolish loves her lists!) Last year’s list didn’t have too many cross-offs, but that’s okay. Sometimes that happens. I have high hopes for the coming year, plans for plans and lists for lists of goals and things I want to do. Is there anything better? Travel, savings, house hunting, writing, and a host of other things that I can’t even imagine, and getting a king-sized mother-f-ing Tempurpedic bed*—all of it makes me giddy with excitement, and not a little anxious.
So welcome, 2013. And welcome, my Interweb friends. I wish you peace and love in this new year.
What’s on your goals list this year?
*WHAT? I dream of this bed. And I want to dream IN this bed. Don’t even get me started.

Happy New Year! May all your king-sized Tempurpedic bed dreams come true.
Hold up. I’m being blinded by the Santa cuteness.
Right? The kid is ridiculous. And I’m a sucker.
